 MORE THAN CONQUERORS

Victory and defeat are at opposite ends of a pole.  None of us like to be defeated.  We all enjoy a victory.  When our favorite team is playing and we have picked them to win BUT  they go down in defeat,  there is a certain sadness felt.  In the course of life we have  challenges which we pursue.  When we are victorious in our pursuits, we can rejoice.  When we fail,  there are always disappointments.  Life is a series of victories and defeats.  One day we might win and the next day we might lose.  When our defeats come,  please do not let it be “the end of the world for you.”  We must REGROUP, gather all the reasons together,  then start again.  The one thing we have as Christian men and women is the great promise of Romans 8:37: “Nay, in all these things (defeats), we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”  What a promise this is and the beauty of it all is that whatever defeats may  come - big or small - God through His Son is always there to support us.  Without question, the greatest defeat of all will be our death, but even here the Apostle Paul reminds  us that “neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom:8:35-39). AMEN?
